Rethinking the Highline

Rethinking the Highline: an infrastructure for wildlife is a proposal for an international architecture competition seeking new ideas for reclaiming New York City’s west side highline as open public space. The proposal posits an idea for ‘addressable space’ as a development strategy fostering new forms of social and cultural interaction. Public spaces for private exchanges, a meadow of micro properties, a new kind of real-estate supporting the mosaic of everyday living. Awarded an Advisor’s Citation.
